"I was struggling with my diabetes
when Dr. John suggested I see Dr. Jared. I had been diagnosed with type I
diabetes early in 2005. I had made the changes to my diet and was following
an exercise program but my blood sugar was still too high. They added medications
and increased my insulin but still my blood sugar was too high. The only
thing they could tell me was I had “brittle

"A few years ago I woke up with a terrible pain behind my right ear,
with a terrible headache. Three days later I started hearing my heart beating
in my right ear as well as what sounded like blood flowing. This was not a
"ringing" in
the ears that some people get. I called my family doctor thinking I had an
ear infection. My family doctor said I did not have an ear infection and wanted
me to have an MRA done. I had the MRA and I was told that it was "normal".
So my family doctor sent me to an ENT. The ENT said that I probably had a pseudo
tumor and gave me a prescription for some nose inhaler...which I will never
understand why. As the weeks went by my headaches were debilitating. I went
back to the ENT and he said he really didn’t know what was wrong with
me so he referred me to a neurologist and an endocrinologist because he
wants my thyroid tested and other test done because they are baffled. At the
endocrinologist's I am tested for Crones Disease, Cushing Disease, Thyroid
Disorder...you name it I had the test for it. I even had to have my ovaries
scanned and that came back "normal" but I was given clinical diagnoses
of PCOS and was put on medication for that. So the neurologist ordered an MRI
and a CT of the soft tissue in my neck. Meanwhile, she treated me for severe
migraines. Put me on medication for the headaches, gave me shots in my head
(can’t
even explain the pain from that). I went to the emergency room because I had
the worst headache ever. They put me on a "migraine cocktail" and did a CT,
which they said was "normal". She was probably one of the worst people I have
ever encountered in the medical field. She said my MRI was "normal" but
the CT showed that my styloid process was compressing into my jugular vein
constricting blood flow, which was causing the noise. At that point I switched
to another neurologist for many reasons. Meanwhile 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, I could hear my heart beating and my blood flowing in my
right ear and having severe headaches. By this time at least 6 weeks have passed
from the initial doctor visit. Plus the thousands of dollars I had spent so
far on doctors and the time missed from work had me very stressed out.
I gave my new neurologist all my tests and film. She ordered another MRI,
needed another view, she said. She got back my information from this MRI and
she had a radio-neurologist read all my film. The report and film said that
I had had a brain hemorrhage and that I also have a pituitary tumor. I saw
the tumor on the scan. I asked why has no one had caught this before which
she can’t
answer. This diagnoses was given to me over 4 months after the
initial doctor visit for me hearing the noise in my ear. So I was sent to another
endocrinologist to treat the pituitary tumor. By this point I was on about
6 different medications plus medication for the severe headaches and brain
pressure. This doctor referred me to a brain surgeon, a vascular surgeon
and a cranial base surgeon. I am told they want to remove the tumor and shave
part of the styloid off, so it doesn’t go into my jugular vein. In the
end I was told the tumor was 8 mm away from my optical nerve so the surgeon
didn’t
want to remove it. I was then put on more medication to "shrink" the
tumor. I was also told that they couldn’t find another case to study
for the styloid bone. They wanted to go in through the base of my brain but
they felt it was too dangerous and they have no surgerical procedure to follow.
So for about 2 years I lived like that– a zombie, no energy, depressed, lethargic
and really no answers. Not to mention the $40,000’s of dollars in doctor
visits, tests and pharmacy costs and this is out of my pocket, with insurance.
And I was really not getting better. Giving the ultimate diagnoses of "this
is what we think it is and you will just have to live with the noise
in your ear". Prior to my diagnoses, my son was in a car accident with
a semi, my grandmother died, my mom was diagnosed with cancer and my beloved
dog was diagnosed with cancer and later passed away. Needless to say this was
a hard time for me and my family.
In March of 2008 I was referred to Dr. Jared Allomong (through an amazing
way). After 3 visits with him, the noise in my ear was gone…GONE.
He adjusted the bones in my head and balanced my brain. I am off ALL of my
medications and feeling "normal" again. He is very professional,
patient and caring. He explains everything because he wants you to learn.
He makes you feel safe and the environment he has is very soothing. There are
now 5 people in my family that get treated by Dr. Jared. He has literally changed
our lives. After all the frustration, time, money and disappointment I had
from the medical community, I was glad to meet Dr. Jared. He has restored my
faith and given me another chance to live a productive life that has purpose.
